Leidsch Dagblad and Leiden University
In 2010 it has been 435 years since the founding of Leiden University and 150 years since the Leidsch Dagblad was established. To celebrate these important milestones, both institutions have decided to organise a number of joint Lustrum activities.
Because the Leidsch Dagblad is also celebrating its 150th anniversary, several lustrum activities will be organised together with Leiden University. From the Dies celebration on, a weekly series called “The Workroom of…” will appear on the Science page of the Leiden newspaper. This column will give us a glimpse into the rooms of a number of Leiden scholars.
Also, a Leiden Dictation and a debate about a topical subject are on both lustrum calendars.
In line with annual tradition, the Leidsch Dagblad and bookshop Selexyz will jointly organise the Leiden Dictation, but in the lustrum year of 2010 it will take place in the Academy Building.
